Good information presented casually! What appealed to me immediately was the casual nature of the writing considering the subject. It felt much more like a "talk" than a "lecture" if that makes sense. Obviously this means nothing if the information it's conveying isn't both interesting and informative but in this case I found it to be both! What you walk away with here isn't a guide to reading people, or worse manipulating them, but a good groundwork for fine tuning your perception of other's subconscious signals that they're broadcasting- if you know how to spot them. While it does discuss "tells" (that are generally clear once observed repeatedly) the author is quick to point out that aside from these proven indicators the same signals that could indicate deceit could also indicate other emotions as well. It's important to be reminded of this, especially when you are newly armed with this knowledge and excited to test it out. After reading this you should be in a better position to analyze these signals, know what to look for, and why exactly we broadcast them in the first place.Interesting book with a voice that strikes a nice balance between a textbook and a "fun read" very nicely. I would gladly read future titles!Valuable booklet Very useful and concise book. It requires some basic previous knowledge and good observation skills to be fully understood and applied. I use it as a valuable psychological handbook.Fun read and some very good pointers! I'm not the best at reading people and can come out to be quite blunt sometimes so I picked this book up to see if it could help me improve myself a bit.I couldn't put this down as I realized I was missing so many indicators that I wasn't sensitive to before and this has opened my eyes to be more visual in other's signals. There are some really good case studies/examples that illustrate real life scenarios which are quite helpful as well!
